Daily photos from the Yukon
We nearly bumped into this one!
In my defence, I was at the back of the canoe. I thought I saw a log in the water. And I will admit to steering us a little closer to confirm if it was indeed a log.
Jane, sitting in the font of the canoe, and a good four metres closer to the ‘log’ than I was, politely informed me that I was wrong.
She also suggested I steer a bit away from the log, because she was pretty convinced - and more so the closer we got to it - that the log was in fact a bear.
Talk about calm under pressure! Unflappable she is!
We steered away, and I took out the camera. ;-)
Shortly after the log incident, there was nothing more dramatic than the scenery.
Damn, I love the Yukon!
And… thanks!
Thanks for the lovely comments yesterday. And here’s how to say thanks in Greenlandic! I may have had a couple of these words before. But repetition is good. :-)
