Daily photos from the Yukon
The campsite at Carmacks was like an oasis of modern “stuff”. Suddenly we had Internet and a chance to recharge our batteries - the electronic ones and our own. I don’t think I’ve tasted burgers quite like the ones we had in Carmacks. ;-)
It’s funny how access to the Internet was a big deal. I wish it wasn’t so. After all the nature experiences we had, we were rapidly sucked back into the mediocrity of life when everyone shares everything.
Naturally, I shared a couple of bear pics.
We stayed an extra night in Carmacks, topping up on modern amenities. But I went down to the river’s edge regularly, just to look downriver, thinking of the adventures that awaited us.
Hopelessly romantic?
You betcha!
And it’s a rest day with the Greenlandic, too!
A few more numbers. :-)
